1. Who we are
Guardian (“Guardian,” “we,” “us”) is operated by Scale Group Inc, 441 Seabreeze Ave, Palm Beach, FL 33480. Questions, complaints, and requests to delete your data may be sent to ryan@guardian.ai.
2. What Guardian does
Guardian is an informational assistant. It explains veterans’ benefit programs in plain language and helps you understand how to apply for them through official government channels. Guardian is a guide — it is not the VA, and using Guardian is never required to receive any benefit you are entitled to.
3. We never ask for your passwords
Guardian will never ask you for your VA.gov, ID.me, Login.gov, bank, or any other password, one-time code, or multi-factor authentication code. We do not log in to any account on your behalf. If any message, email, or person claiming to be Guardian asks you for a password or security code, it is not us — do not provide it, and please report it to ryan@guardian.ai. Always enter your credentials only on the official site you are signing in to.
4. We do not manage your VA benefits
Guardian does not manage, administer, apply for, receive, hold, redirect, or control your VA benefits. Your benefits are paid directly to you by the government, and Guardian never takes a percentage or fee from them — not now, not ever. Federal law (38 U.S.C. § 5301) makes veterans’ benefits non-assignable, and we will never ask you to assign, pledge, borrow against, or sign over your benefits to us or to anyone else.
Guardian is also not your bank, financial institution, money transmitter, investment adviser, fiduciary, guardian, conservator, or VA-appointed representative payee. It does not hold custody of your funds or move money on your behalf. Any budgeting or financial guidance it offers is informational only — you keep full control of your own accounts and decisions.
If you need someone legally authorized to help manage benefit payments for a veteran who cannot manage them alone, that is the VA Fiduciary Program, administered by the VA — not Guardian.
5. Guardian is not legal, medical, or financial advice
Information provided by Guardian is general and may be incomplete, out of date, or inapplicable to your situation. It is not legal, medical, tax, or financial advice, and no attorney-client or fiduciary relationship is created by using it. Guardian is an automated assistant and can make mistakes — verify anything important with an official source before relying on it.
Only a VA-accredited Veterans Service Organization (VSO), agent, or attorney may represent you in a benefits claim. Many VSOs and County Veteran Service Offices provide this help free of charge. We encourage you to use them.
6. If you are in crisis
Guardian is not an emergency service and does not monitor conversations in real time. If you are in danger or considering harming yourself, call 988 and press 1, text 838255, or call 911.
7. Your information
To provide the service we store the messages you send, the assistant’s replies, and a randomly generated identifier kept in your browser. We use Anthropic’s Claude API to generate responses, which means the contents of your conversation are transmitted to that provider for processing. We do not sell your personal information.
If you choose to sign in, you do so with your mobile phone number: we text a one-time code to confirm it, and store that verified number to keep your account and to contact you only about your own request. Signing in is optional — the assistant works without it. You may optionally add your name; there is no password.
You may also optionally tell us your VA disability rating, which we store to tailor the resources we suggest (many programs depend on it). It is optional, you can choose “prefer not to say,” and you can ask us to delete it at any time. We do not use it for any purpose other than helping you.
Please do not enter passwords, Social Security numbers, full financial account numbers, or other sensitive identifiers into the chat. You may request deletion of your conversation data at any time by emailing ryan@guardian.ai.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use Guardian to break the law, to impersonate another person, to attempt to access accounts that are not yours, or to submit false information to a government agency. We may suspend access for misuse.
9. No warranty; limitation of liability
Guardian is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of information. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scale Group Inc is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost benefits, arising from your use of Guardian. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; the “last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
